“Like Someone In Love” is a 1957 studio album by Ella Fitzgerald, with a studio orchestra arranged and conducted by Frank de Vol. This album represents a fine example of Ella’s singing from this period, recorded at the same time as her albums with Louis Armstrong. Stan Getz is featured on tenor sax on four tracks, Ted Nash plays the alto sax and solos.
This is the 2016 reissue by Jazz Images as part of Jean-Pierre Leloir Collection. It has completely new artwork featuring Leloir’s photography, and comes in a gatefold sleeve with extensive liner notes. Sounds magnificent!
