“Illmatic” is widely regarded as one of the greatest and most influential hiphop albums of all time, appearing on numerous best-album-lists by critics. It was Nas’ debut album, released in 1994 by Columbia Records. The album’s production was handled by DJ Premier, Large Professor, Pete Rock and Q-Tip. The artistic impact of “Illmatic” was massive. The record finds its place in the greatest transition in hiphop up to that point. Along with the Wu-Tang Clan’s debut from the previous year, “Illmatic” put New York back on the map after a long period of West coast dominance.

This is a brand new 2017 repress on heavyweight vinyl and it sounds absolutely amazing, one of the best pressings this album has ever had. Comes with a plain white inner sleeve. The outer sleeve has some very light creasing, check out the photos. Also includes the book about the album by Matthew Gasteier from the acclaimed 33⅓ series, so you can dive deep into this hiphop masterpiece.
