“The Kids Will Have Their Say” is the debut album by Boston’s SS Decontrol. The album was released in 1982 as a split-release between Dischord and X-Claim records. Only 1900 copies were pressed and it wasn’t repressed for decades, making it quite a collector’s item and prices went up for over €1000 for a decent copy.
The album was reissued for the first time in late 2023 by Trust Records and was remastered by Dave Gardner from the original analog tapes. Those tapes were meticulously restored by a wizard named Dan Johnson from Audio Archiving Services. Bryan Ray Turcotte recreated the packaging to match the original XClaim version. It’s badass!
