Sweet Dreams

Dobby Dobson • LP

19

Dobby Dobson began singing while a student at Central Branch School in Kingston, Jamaica. Leaving school in 1959, Dobson went on record with Charles Josephs as part of the duo Chuck and Dobby, before becoming a solo artist in the early 1960’s. Despite his musical success, Dobson kept his job as a salesman and proof-reader for The Jamaica Gleaner. Dobson died in Florida at the age of 78, from COVID-19 in 2020.

For sale is an original Jamaican first press from his album “Sweet Dreams” from 1978. The sleeve has wear but it still is a fine copy.
