MM Food

“MM Food” is the legendary fifth studio album by MF Doom, originally released in 2004 via the independent label Rhymesayers Entertainment. It is widely recognized across the globe as one of the ultimate masterpieces of underground hiphop. While every track on the album is named after food or drinks, Doom uses these culinary titles purely as metaphors. Beneath the surface of the food themes he addresses complex subjects such as friendship, betrayal, addiction, human behavior, pop culture and the media.

Doom produced the vast majority of the beats himself under his producer alias Metal Fingers. He stitched the album together using an abundance of obscure vocal samples from old cartoons such as Fantastic Four and Spider-Man, to build a cinematic narrative around his masked supervillain persona.
