Lies

For sale here is the one of the rarest items in the Guns N’ Roses catalogue: the ultra rare, ultra censored cassette version of “Lies”. The first four tracks consist of the previously released EP “Live Like A Suicide”, the last four songs were recorded with acoustic guitars. They were written and recorded in only a few studio sessions, with the exception of “You’re Crazy”, which appeared in an alternate version on “Appetite For Destruction”. “Patience” was the only single released from “Lies” and became a huge hit.

Most versions have the nude model on the cover either fully naked, or only have the nipples censored. This version however, released in Saudi Arabia in 1988, has the model fully censored, now wearing a fake black dress. Also, a large part of all the articles in the artwork are censored. The offensive lyrics throughout the entire album remain uncensored. How many copies of this were made is unclear, but this version is nearly impossible to find. Luckily Gram found it for you!
