Hurt

Chris Spedding • LP

12

Chris Spedding is best known for his studio session work. By the early 1970’s, he had become one of the most sought-after session guitarists in England. Spedding has played on and produced many albums and singles by the likes of Bryan Ferry, Paul McCartney, Katie Melua, Elton John, Nina Hagen, Joan Armatrading, Tom Waits and many more. Spedding also produced the Sex Pistols first demos, and there’s a rumour he recorded guitar parts for “Never Mind The Bollocks”. His solo albums (over a dozen) have met no commercial success, but remain highly regarded by fellow musicians and critics.

This is a great copy of the original pressing of his solo album “Hurt”, for which he recorded a version of Garland Jeffreys’ song “Wild In The Streets”. The song has since been covered by the Circle Jerks and is featured on Tony Hawk’s American Wasteland.
