Heavy Liquid

“Heavy Liquid” is a distillation of the Stooges’ 1972 demos and 1973 rehearsals. Perhaps the definitive collection of (both pre- and post-) “Raw Power”-era outtakes. The first LP are studio recordings, the second LP is more lo-fi but it has a perfect tracklist and a decent mastering, which probably was a hell of a job since a great deal of this came from pretty crappy sources. The liner notes hit the nail on the head: “The world is a much worse place for not having a professionally recorded version of “Open Up And Bleed”, but we have the best of what there is”.

For sale is a white vinyl edition in a gatefold sleeve, and includes printed inner sleeves with extensive liner notes!
