The soundtrack to “Drive” consists of a blend of electronic, ambient and retro music. Initially, Johnny Jewel was hired to compose the film’s score, but producers ultimately hired Cliff Martinez. Editor Mat Newman suggested the opening credits song: “Nightcall” by French electronic musician Kavinsky.
