Atomizer

Big Black • LP

29

Big Black was founded by Steve Albini in 1981 during his second year of college. Albini played in various college bands, including a new wave act that featured a drum machine. Seeing the advantage in a machine that could play incredibly fast without tiring, always kept a steady beat, and would follow commands exactly, he purchased a Roland TR-606 drum machine and began writing the first Big Black songs. “Atomizer” became the debut full-length album, released in 1986. The album cover is inspired by the Warner Bros. cartoon art of animator Chuck Jones.

For sale here is an original first press and includes the insert. The outer sleeve has some minor signs of aging (check out the photos) but still looks fine. The vinyl looks brand new, probably played once or twice.
