Sabbath Bloody Sabbath

Black Sabbath • LP

25

“Sabbath Bloody Sabbath” is the fifth studio album by Black Sabbath. It was produced by the band and recorded at Morgan Studios in London in September 1973. The writing process for the album, which began in Los Angeles, was initially hampered in part by the band’s substance abuse and fatigue following their world tour in support of their previous album, “Vol. 4“. The band then relocated to Clearwell Castle in the Gloucestershire forests, where guitarist Tony Iommi conceived the main riff of what became the album’s title track and lead single. For the first time in their career, the band began to receive favourable reviews in the mainstream press, with Rolling Stone calling the album “an extraordinarily gripping affair”, and “nothing less than a complete success”.

This is a Spanish pressing on the Victoria label. The vinyl is in great shape, the sleeve has moderate wear due to its age.
