“Realm Of Chaos” is the second album by Bolt Thrower. It was recorded at Loco Studios in April 1989 by Tim Lewis and mixed at Slaughterhouse Studios in July 1989 by Colin Richardson.
The original cover artwork was produced by Games Workshop. The whole album is closely tied to Games Workshop’s Warhammer 40,000 game background and “Realm Of Chaos: Slaves To Darkness” was the title of a gaming book by Games Workshop released in 1988. When the album was first reissued in 2005 Games Workshop did not renew the art license so Earache was forced to produce new artwork. The new art was drawn by Jon Sibbick, the same artist who also did the original art.
This is the new full dynamic range edition from 2017 and probably the best sounding issue to date!
