One of the most famous live albums ever made, and arguably Elvis at his very best. The TV special was recorded in Burbank, California at Western Recorders and at NBC Studios in June of 1968. The CD here is the audio-only version of the special, and consists of a mixture of studio and live recordings, the live material itself a mixture of sit-down tracks with a small group and stand-up tracks with an orchestra. It is the very first CD version of the special that came out, in 1991, in good shape.
