The Modulations hail from Durham, North Carolina and were originally known as The Pimps. They recorded extensively with the house band of the famed record label Philadelphia International. These sessions yielded an album in 1975 entitled “It’s Rough Out Here”. Further recordings intended for a follow-up album were never commercially released. The group reached the pinnacle of its career with an appearance on the TV show “Soul Train” in early 1976.
For sale is a reissue on 180-grams vinyl. Everything is in great shape, but has some tape on the top of the sleeve.
