Quentin Tarantino always puts together a mean soundtrack. As expected, there's a generous helping of dialogue and some recycled Ennio Morricone score here, but there's plenty for the beat-minded too, the best being Smith's soulful "Baby It's You" and Pacific Gas & Electric's take on the tale of "Staggolee." It also includes T-Rex's amazing "Jeepster", the Coasters' "Down In Mexico," the riotous drums of Eddie Beram's "Riot In Thunder Alley" and "Hold Tight" by the amazingly named Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick & Tich. A beautiful glossy sleeve and full-color movie stills put this "Death Proof" soundtrack vinyl over the top.

Item is used but still as good as new, including the printed inner sleeve!

To celebrate the launch of our new label Gram Records, we are kicking things off with a strictly limited split 7-inch by surf legends The Cops and levenslied kings De Mervo's!

This release officially marks De Mervo's debut on physical media. Three brothers reunited during the pandemic and started making music with no restraint. Their rendition of this Queen classic will be much talked about for generations to come. Keep an eye out for these fellas!

Also during the pandemic, The Cops let producer Patrick Delabie finish one of their songs where they only recorded the basic tracks for at the "Crime Wave" sessions. Delabie then filled the entire mixingboard with brand new layers, making it a truly epic listening experience.

Available on white vinyl or black vinyl, each in a different sleeve. White vinyl comes in a yellow / green sleeve, black vinyl comes in a red / purple sleeve. Only 50 copies of each variant have been made, never to be repressed again!

The Cops are a morally corrupt surf trio determined to shut down your party. They have infiltrated the Dutch underground for decades in acts such as The Unborn, Angstgegner, Otis and Beyond Lickin'. Their current Dick Dale worship will easily work anywhere from a punk show to a sixties party. Their first effort is this vinyl 7-inch entitled "Crime Wave" which is out via Black Death Records and for sale online exclusively at Gram Vinyl.

Comes in a heavyweight double-sided foldover sleeve so you can choose between two different designs!

Astro Analog Series Vol. 2

Part two in the Man Or Astro-Man? Analog Series released by Chunklet Magazine in 2012. Recorded by Steve Albini and cut direct to lacquer at Chicago Mastering Service. Packaged in a custom chipboard, die-cut cover with a blue acetate window and sealed with a foil sticker. Used item so the seal is carefully broken, everything else is as good as new. Great stuff!

Misirlou

"Misirlou" is a folk song from the Eastern Mediterranean region, with origins in the Ottoman Empire. The original author of the song is not known, but Arabic, Greek and Jewish musicians were playing it by the 1920's. In 1962, Dick Dale rearranged the song as a solo instrumental rock guitar piece. During a performance, Dale was bet by a young fan that he could not play a song on only one string of his guitar. Dale's father and uncles were Lebanese-American musicians, and Dale remembered seeing his uncle play "Misirlou" on one string of the oud. He vastly increased the song's tempo to make it into rock & roll. And so, it was Dale's surf rock version that introduced "Misirlou" to a wider audience. The Beach Boys recorded a similar version for the 1963 album "Surfin' USA", solidifying "Misirlou" as a staple of American pop culture.

In 1994 Quentin Tarantino famously used it as the opening song for "Pulp Fiction", one of the most critically acclaimed movies of all time. Not only Dale's career was rebooted after this, the instrumental surf rock genre also was very popular again.

This is an original CD single from 1994 in amazing shape, released for promotion of the film soundtrack.
