"Cachaíto" is the critically acclaimed solo debut album by Cuban double bassist Orlando López. Released in 2001 via World Circuit Records, the album showcases the immense talent of the musician best known as the heartbeat and permanent bassist of the legendary Buena Vista Social Club. While López was deeply rooted in traditional Cuban son and descarga, he took a bold, experimental direction for his solo project. The album seamlessly blends Afro Cuban rhythms with modern genres, including hiphop, reggae, jazz, funk and soul.

Originally only released on CD in 2001, but in 2018 this vinyl version came out, still the only one to date. It sounds amazing, and contains a square booklet and a postcard. Gorgeous item!

"Índia" is the iconic fourth studio album by Brazilian singer Gal Costa, released in 1973 by Philips. The album is recognized worldwide as an absolute masterpiece within the post-Tropicália movement. Her music uniquely combines traditional Brazilian sounds with psychedelic rock and pop. The album cemented her status as one of Brazil's most daring and biggest stars.

This is the 2017 remastered reissue via Mr Bongo, in a gatefold sleeve. Amazing album!

"More Brazilian Byrd" is a highly regarded 1967 Latin jazz and bossa nova album by American guitarist Charlie Byrd and his orchestra, released via Columbia Records. Serving as the direct follow-up to his 1965 album "Brazilian Byrd", it features lush orchestral arrangements by Tommy Newsom that beautifully blend Byrd's signature classical fingerstyle guitar with traditional Brazilian rhythms.

Original US pressing from 1967, in great shape!

"Debí Tirar Más Fotos" is the sixth solo studio album by Puerto Rican rapper and singer Bad Bunny. It was released through Rimas Entertainment and follows his previous record "Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana" (2023).

Primarily a reggaeton record, the album heavily blends together diverse elements of traditional Puerto Rican music that Bad Bunny listened to when growing up, including plena, jíbaro, salsa, and bomba, as well as influences of other musical styles, similar to "Un Verano Sin Ti" (2022). While most of the lyrical content is based on love, heartbreak, partying, and family, some of the lyrics focus on the complexities that arise from Puerto Rico's political status as an unincorporated territory under US sovereignty, including gentrification and loss of cultural identity.

Comes in a gatefold sleeve and on white vinyl!

"The Bedlam In Goliath" is the fourth album by the Mars Volta, released in 2008 on Gold Standard Laboratories and Universal. Produced by guitarist and songwriter Omar Rodríguez-López, the album's creation was fraught with strange occurrences after an experience with a ouija board that Rodriguez-Lopez bought as a gift for vocalist Cedric Bixler-Zavala.

"Duck Rock" is an album released by British impresario Malcolm McLaren, originally issued in 1983 by Charisma Records. The album mixes up styles from South Africa, Central and South America, the Caribbean and the United States. The album proved to be highly influential in bringing hiphop to a wider audience in the United Kingdom. Two of the singles from the album, "Buffalo Gals" and "Double Dutch", became major chart hits on both sides of the Atlantic. The album artwork was designed by Dondi White and Nick Egan, with illustrations by Keith Haring.

Comes with a 3-page double-sided lyric and dance movements sheet with artwork by Keith Haring. Used LP in great shape.

Calexico’s "Seasonal Shift" is less of a Christmas album and more of a cross cultural seasonal celebration. The themes are based around that familiar end of year feeling, of reflection, of ceremony and of recognition of the year gone by and changes it brought for better and for worse. It contains a few cover songs including classics by John Lennon and Tom Petty, a few more special guests and a whole load of good will. It’s heartfelt but fun, and earnest but celebratory.

The amazing special coloured vinyl edition comes with three Calexico Christmas cards including blank envelopes! The LP's also includes a digital download card. Also available on digipack CD.

Jazz Invierno

A very great and very rare latin jazz record. Recorded somewhere in the mid-70's in Santo Domingo and originally released in a (now impossible to find) one-time pressing in 1976. Darío Estrella, Mario Rivera and the Vanguard Jazz Group work through an amazing set of songs by John Coltrane, McCoy Tyner and more. Re-released in 2016 in an extremely limited run of only 85 copies in handmade sleeves!

Omara

Omara Portuondo has been a part of the Buena Vista Social Club project since 1996, when she was in her sixties. Before that she already had an extensive career. For sale here is an original pressing of one of her original Cuban albums from 1967.

The sleeve has ringwear but the vinyl is in great shape. Pressed over 50 years ago but still a beautiful copy!
