Ride The Lightning

“Ride The Lightning” is Metallica’s second studio album, and expanded the band’s musical style beyond pure thrash metal, incorporating acoustic guitars, instrumental passages, and more complex song structures.

Much of the material was developed in late 1983 while the band was living in a rented house (dubbed the “Metallica Mansion”) in El Cerrito, California. Unable to afford an expensive recording studio in the United States, drummer Lars Ulrich contacted Sweet Silence Studios in his hometown of Copenhagen, Denmark. The band had to sleep on the studio floor because there was no budget for a hotel.

The album was released in 1984 through Megaforce Records. Just two months later, Elektra Records signed Metallica to a multi-year deal and reissued the album and it subsequently entered the Billboard charts with virtually no radio exposure. As of 2026, the album is estimated to have sold more than 18 million copies worldwide. More than four decades after its release, “Ride The Lightning” remains a landmark album that helped redefine metal.

Os Brazões

Rare and highly sought after in its original format, Os Brazões self-titled album was originally released on RGE Discos in 1969. It is a psychedelic masterpiece that fuses samba, funk and rock ’n roll using fuzz guitars, synths, percussion, lush vocals and effects. Os Brazões formed in Rio de Janeiro in the late 1960’s. They backed Gal Costa during her Tropicalia period, yet apparently never recorded in the studio with her.

Reissue via Mr Bongo, as good as new, on beautiful orange splatter vinyl!

Gravest Gravy

In 1977, the Cramps entered Ardent Studios in Memphis with Alex Chilton, intending to record four songs. Chilton persuaded them to capture everything they had, documenting the early sound of a band that would become one of America’s most influential rock groups. The sessions produced their first two singles and the "Gravest Hits" EP, while much of the remaining material was later reworked or circulated on bootlegs.

Planned for release twice before being shelved, "Gravest Gravy" finally emerged after a cache of reel-to-reel tapes was discovered in Ivy’s garage. With Henry Rollins and Ian MacKaye helping prepare the archive, it became the first in a series of archival releases. The recordings capture the Cramps in their rawest form: primitive drums, distorted guitars, reverb, Lux Interior’s deranged vocals, and a twisted mix of rockabilly, garage punk, B-movie sleaze and trash culture. Early versions of "TV Set", "Can’t Hardly Stand It" and "The Natives Are Restless" reveal a band already in complete control of its singular sound—feral, irreverent and unmistakably Cramps.

Who Killed Marilyn?

"Who Killed Marilyn?" is a 1981 song by Glenn Danzig, about questions surrounding the death of actress Marilyn Monroe, with the titular question suggesting she was murdered. Though Danzig's first solo single, other recordings of the song have since been included on various collections by the Misfits. The B-side, "Spook City USA", was also recorded previously with the Misfits during the "Night Of The Living Dead" EP session, but that much faster version was not released until the 1996 release of the Misfits box set.

Danzig claims that he and Misfits drummer Googy could not get Jerry and guitarist Doyle to practice and perform more often, and "Who Killed Marilyn?" fulfilled Danzig's need to perform and release his songs on a more regular basis. Jerry claims he had no reason not to do the songs and doesn't know why Danzig released a solo single. Other versions of this song have been released by the Misfits, but the Glenn Danzig version, along with its B-side, are only available on this single.

The original 7-inch has been out of print since 1983 and original copies are worth a fortune. In 2015, Glenn Danzig remixed both songs and finally released them on this 12-inch EP in 2023. Side A contains the original mixes of both songs, while side B contains the all new remixed versions. Available on:

Comes in a gatefold sleeve. The haze vinyl copies are purple, black and white mixed. The unsigned copies are still in shrink, the signed one is out of its shrinkwrap but in a heavyweight protective sleeve.
