Vision Quest

"Vision Quest" a 1985 motion picture starring Matthew Modine and Linda Fiorentino. Modine plays a Spokane high school wrestler who falls in love with an older woman, an aspiring artist from New Jersey on her way to San Francisco. The film includes an appearance by Madonna, her first in a major motion picture, playing a singer at a local bar, where she performs the songs "Crazy For You" and "Gambler". Both songs are included on this album, as well as great songs by Journey, Foreigner, Dio and more.

Led Zeppelin IV

The untitled fourth studio album by Led Zeppelin, commonly known as "Led Zeppelin IV", was originally released in 1971 by Atlantic Records. It was produced by guitarist Jimmy Page in the country house Headley Grange. The album is notable for featuring "Stairway To Heaven", one of the biggest songs of all time.

The informal setting at Headley Grange inspired the band, allowing them to try different arrangements of material and create songs in various styles. After the band's previous album received lukewarm reviews from critics, they decided their fourth album would officially be untitled and would be represented instead by four symbols chosen by each band member, without featuring the name or any other details on the cover. As with prior albums, most of the material was written by the band, though there was one cover song, a hard rock re-interpretation of the Memphis Minnie blues song "When The Levee Breaks".

The album was a commercial and critical success and is Led Zeppelin's best-selling album, shipping over 37 million copies worldwide, while critics have regularly placed it highly on lists of the greatest albums of all time.

Led Zeppelin II ‎

The second Led Zeppelin studio album was originally released in 1969 by Atlantic Records. This is the Boek En Plaat edition with an alternate backside, which was only available in 1970 to members of the book and record subscription club Boek En Plaat.

The album exhibited the band's evolving musical style of blues-derived material and their guitar riff-based sound. It has been described as the band's heaviest album. Six of the nine songs were written by the band, while the other three were reinterpretations of Chicago blues songs by Willie Dixon and Howlin' Wolf. The album spawned the "Whole Lotta Love" single, one of Led Zeppelin's most famous songs. Music critics have regularly cited the album as one of the greatest and most influential of all time.

This is the original Dutch pressing in the Boek En Plaat series from 1970 with a completely different backside to all other versions. Considering its age the sleeve is in excellent condition. There is a name written on the back of the sleeve ("Tinus de Mooij", who was the owner of recordstore De Waterput in Bergen op Zoom, The Netherlands), check out the photos. The vinyl is used but plays good. Great item!

Tommy

"Tommy" is a 1972 album by the London Symphony Orchestra, conducted by David Measham, performing arrangements by Wil Malone of The Who's 1969 album "Tommy". The project was conceived by Lou Reizner, initially with Rod Stewart singing Roger Daltrey's main role. As Pete Townshend and Daltrey became more involved, Stewart's role was reduced to singing "Pinball Wizard". The studio version of the orchestral Tommy was issued in boxed-set LP format. It features original artwork and photography, which used a pinball as its main motif, was designed by Tom Wilkes and Craig Braun and won the Grammy for best artwork in 1974. Used item in great shape!

Hurt

Chris Spedding is best known for his studio session work. By the early 1970's, he had become one of the most sought-after session guitarists in England. Spedding has played on and produced many albums and singles by the likes of Bryan Ferry, Paul McCartney, Katie Melua, Elton John, Nina Hagen, Joan Armatrading, Tom Waits and many more. Spedding also produced the Sex Pistols first demos, and there's a rumour he recorded guitar parts for "Never Mind The Bollocks". His solo albums (over a dozen) have met no commercial success, but remain highly regarded by fellow musicians and critics.

This is a great copy of the original pressing of his solo album "Hurt", for which he recorded a version of Garland Jeffreys' song "Wild In The Streets". The song has since been covered by the Circle Jerks and is featured on Tony Hawk's American Wasteland.
